Welcome to Michi Compass. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Michi Compass mobile application (the "App"), developed by Veliym Molfar ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download, install, or use the App.

1. Safety Disclaimer & User Responsibility

By using the App, you explicitly agree that:

• Stay Alert: You will look up from your screen frequently and remain alert to pedestrians, vehicles, traffic conditions, and physical obstacles.
• Follow Laws: You will comply with all local laws, regulations, signs, and traffic rules. Do not cross streets, enter public property, or trespass on private property in an unsafe or unlawful manner.
• Avoid Hazards: Do not navigate through hazardous terrain, construction zones, private estates, high-crime areas, or zones where walking or entry is prohibited.
• Weather and Conditions: You are responsible for judging local weather and ground conditions (such as ice, rain, or uneven surfaces) and adjusting your activities accordingly.

You assume all risks associated with your physical movement and travel while using the App.

2. Description of Service

Michi Compass is a "treasure compass" discovery app. It allows users to pick a category of places (Cafe, Park, Culture, or Random), retrieves a nearby point of interest (POI) from the Geoapify Places API, and displays the distance and a directional compass dial to lead you there. The identity and exact details of the target destination remain hidden until you arrive within a short range (approximately 50 meters) and decide to reveal it.

3. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and Ads

Michi Compass offers both free and premium subscription-gated features.

• Free Tier with Rewarded Ads: Free users can unlock category searches and place reveals by watching rewarded advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Watching these ads grants access on a per-action basis.
• Premium Subscriptions: Users can purchase Weekly, Yearly, or Lifetime plans to unlock "Michi Unlimited". A premium subscription bypasses the ad requirements for all search and reveal features.
• Billing & Management: Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled securely through the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS) and are subject to their respective terms. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription statuses. You can manage or cancel your auto-renewing subscriptions at any time via your Google Play or App Store account settings.
• Refunds: Refund requests are governed by the refund policies of the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not process refunds directly.

4. License and Acceptable Conduct

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to download and use the App on your mobile device for personal, non-commercial purposes, strictly in accordance with these Terms.

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to bypass subscription checks, API keys, or ad requirements.
• Use the App for any illegal, dangerous, or unauthorized purposes.
• Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App's access to third-party services.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in and to the App, including but not limited to the source code, design elements, graphics, logos, layouts, and brand names (excluding third-party components and API metadata), belong exclusively to Veliym Molfar.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The search results or POI details provided by the Geoapify Places API will be 100% accurate, complete, safe, or up-to-date.
• The compass direction and bearing calculations will be free from inaccuracies due to GPS sensor drift or electromagnetic interference.
• The App will operate continuously, securely, or free from bugs, interruptions, or errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VELIYM MOLFAR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, ACCIDENTAL DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You use the App and explore your surroundings entirely at your own risk.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and your relationship with us shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
