This Privacy Policy explains how Veliym Molfar ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you use the Michi Compass mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We design our App so that as much data as possible is processed locally on your device, and we only collect or transmit data that is strictly necessary to provide and improve our services.
1. Location Data & POI Discovery
Michi Compass is a navigation and discovery application. To perform its core function (finding nearby points of interest and directing you to them via a compass interface), the App requires access to your device's precise location sensors.
- How We Use Location: The App uses your device's GPS and orientation sensors to determine your current latitude, longitude, and heading. This information is processed in real time to calculate the distance and bearing to your target destination.
- Data Transmission: When you select a category (Cafe, Park, Culture, or Random), the App sends your current coordinates (latitude and longitude) along with search parameters (radius and category) to the third-party Geoapify Places API to fetch a list of nearby points of interest.
- Data Retention: Your precise location coordinates are sent over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS) solely to fetch the search results. We do not store your location coordinates or travel history on any servers.
Note: You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device's operating system settings. If you disable location permissions, the App will not be able to search for nearby places or display the compass navigation.
2. Third-Party Services We Use
We integrate several trusted third-party service providers to help us run, analyze, and monetize the App. These third parties may collect, store, and process data according to their own privacy policies:
- Geoapify (Places API): Used to search for points of interest based on your location. Geoapify Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob: Used to display rewarded advertisements to users who do not have an active subscription. AdMob may collect and process device IDs, advertising identifiers, and usage metrics to personalize ads. Google Privacy Policy

3. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the App, Google Firebase and Google AdMob may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Your device type, brand, and operating system version.
- App performance data (e.g., loading speeds, crash logs, and errors).
- App usage statistics (e.g., number of sessions, duration of use, buttons tapped).
- Advertising ID (for ad attribution and fraud prevention).
We use this information exclusively to troubleshoot issues, improve the App's user interface, and optimize performance.
4. Subscriptions & Billing Information
Michi Compass offers paid subscriptions (Weekly, Yearly, and Lifetime) to unlock unlimited navigation and reveal capabilities without advertisements.
- Payment Processing: All purchases and subscriptions are handled securely through the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS). We do not collect, store, or process any credit card or billing details.
- Purchase Verification: We use RevenueCat to verify the validity of your subscriptions. RevenueCat uses a unique, anonymous identifier to confirm whether your account has active premium status.
5. Children's Privacy
Michi Compass is not designed or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete it immediately.
6. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All communications between the App and third-party APIs (like Geoapify, Firebase, and RevenueCat) use encrypted HTTPS connections. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have specific data protection rights, including the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of any data collected about you. Since the App processes your location in real time and does not store personal data on our own servers, we hold very little to no personal data directly. For data processed by third-party services, you may exercise your rights through their respective opt-out and support procedures.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or compliance requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
